Q: How do I connect Procuro to QuickBooks?
A: Follow these steps:
- Open QuickBooks Online
- Navigate to Apps in the left sidebar
- Search for "Procuro" and click Get App Now
- Click Connect to authorize Procuro
- You'll be redirected to Procuro's dashboard inside QuickBooks
Your items will automatically sync from your Purchase transactions.
Q: What data does Procuro access from QuickBooks?
A: Procuro only accesses:
- Purchase transactions – Item names, vendors, prices
- Company info – Company name (for display only)
- User profile – Name and email (for authentication)
We do NOT access customer data, invoices, sales, or bank accounts.
Q: How accurate are the savings alerts?
A: Procuro uses real-time pricing APIs from major retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Staples). However:
- Prices can change frequently
- Product matching is 75-85% accurate (we use sophisticated algorithms)
- Always verify prices before purchasing
Procuro is a price comparison tool, not a purchasing platform.
Q: Why am I not seeing any items?
A: Common reasons:
- No Purchase transactions – Procuro only tracks items from QuickBooks Purchase transactions (Expenses → Vendors)
- Recently connected – Initial sync can take 1-2 minutes
- QuickBooks permissions – Ensure you granted "Accounting" scope during OAuth
Solution: Try disconnecting and reconnecting QuickBooks, or contact support.
Q: How do I cancel my subscription?
A: You can cancel anytime:
- Open Procuro in QuickBooks
- Click Settings (gear icon)
- Scroll to Subscription section
- Click Cancel Subscription
Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
Q: Is my data secure?
A: Yes! Procuro uses:
- AES-256-GCM encryption for OAuth tokens
- HTTPS/TLS for all connections
- No data sharing with third parties

Q: Can I export my savings data?
A: Yes! From the Reports tab:
- Navigate to Reports in the top menu
- Click Export CSV
- A CSV file will download with all your savings alerts
You can also download a database backup from Settings.
🛠️ Troubleshooting
Problem: "Connection Error" when opening Procuro
Solution:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try opening in an incognito/private window
- Ensure you're logged into QuickBooks Online
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
- Check if QuickBooks is experiencing downtime: status.intuit.com
Problem: Items not updating or alerts not appearing
Solution:
- Refresh the Procuro dashboard (F5 or Ctrl+R)
- Check if auto-check is enabled in Settings
- Verify your QuickBooks connection is active
- Price checks run daily at 3:00 AM – allow 24 hours for initial alerts
Problem: Can't find an item in search results
Solution:
- Try searching by vendor name instead of item name
- Use partial keywords (e.g., "paper" instead of "copy paper")
- Clear the search filter and manually scroll
- Check if the item was imported from QuickBooks (Items tab)
