Welcome to Procuro ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our QuickBooks Online app. By using Procuro, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 From QuickBooks Online
When you connect your QuickBooks account, we access:
- Purchase Transactions – Item names, vendors, prices, purchase dates
- Company Information – Company name, industry (for display purposes only)
- User Profile – Name, email address (for authentication)
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- Login timestamps and session duration
- Pages viewed within the app
- Error logs (for debugging purposes only)
2.3 What We DON'T Collect
- ❌ Financial account numbers or bank details
- ❌ Customer information from your QuickBooks
- ❌ Invoice or sales data
- ❌ Personal browsing history outside the app
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data solely to provide Procuro's services:
- Price Comparison – Match your purchased items with current prices from retailers
- Savings Alerts – Notify you when we find better prices
- Dashboard Analytics – Display your savings summaries and trends
- Service Improvement – Debug errors and optimize performance
🔐 Security Measures
All QuickBooks OAuth tokens are encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before being stored in our database. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
4. Data Storage & Security
4.1 Encryption
We use AES-256-GCM encryption (the same standard used by banks) to encrypt all QuickBooks OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens before storage.
4.2 Database
Your data is stored in a secure SQLite/PostgreSQL database with:
- Encrypted connections (TLS/SSL)
- Access restricted to authorized personnel only
- Regular automated backups
- No third-party data processors
4.3 Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request data deletion at any time (see Section 7).
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do NOT sell or share your data with third parties. The only exception is:
- Legal Compliance – If required by law (court order, subpoena, or regulatory authority)
5.1 Third-Party Services
We use retailer APIs (Amazon, Walmart, Staples) to fetch current prices. We send ONLY:
- Generic product names (e.g., "Copy Paper 500 Sheets")
- UPC codes (if available)
We do NOT send your company name, purchase history, or any identifying information to retailers.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- ✅ Access – Request a copy of all data we have about you
- ✅ Correction – Request corrections to inaccurate data
- ✅ Deletion – Request complete deletion of your account and data
- ✅ Export – Download your data in CSV or JSON format
- ✅ Disconnect – Revoke QuickBooks access at any time
7. How to Delete Your Data
To delete your account and all associated data:
- Email us at procuroapp@gmail.com with subject "Delete My Account"
- We will confirm your identity and process the deletion within 48 hours
- All data will be permanently removed from our systems
Alternatively, you can:
- Disconnect from QuickBooks → Apps → Manage Apps → Procuro → Disconnect
- Contact us to request full deletion
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use minimal cookies for:
- Session Management – Keep you logged in
- Preferences – Remember your theme (dark/light mode)
We do NOT use:
- ❌ Advertising cookies
- ❌ Third-party tracking pixels
- ❌ Analytics services (Google Analytics, etc.)
9. Children's Privacy
Procuro is intended for business use only. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years old.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." Continued use of Procuro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
11. International Users
Procuro is hosted in the United States. By using our service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the U.S.
